Raleigh Raceway Private trip

Well I had a few spare tires, and a couple litres of petrol left from the last treck to Stanthorpe so I thought I would burn a little bit of rubber at the Falcon GT Valla week end..

I only got to smoke through two pairs of tires after my turbo to manifold gasket heated up and melted it self....

Was still great fun, I got to take a few passengers which is always fun :)

Stanthorpe Stadium Drift

So ive been kind of very super lazy and not updating this blog....

Last time we where out was at Stanthorpe, at Carnell raceway... This is a great track with a wild ride for the first corner, I had a ball up there, ended up coming 4th overal, and Wes come 15th...

round 2 is upon us!

well its come time for round two of stadium drift,
this round is to be held at park lands (gold coast show ground) come show your support for your local marvel lads Dave and Wes, after the drifting on Saturday we plan on showing the gold coast how marvel parties!
in the mean time the boys are busy sorting out tyres, tow cars and trailers!

and don't forget MARVEL YO! tight as a wolf pack!

hey guys, 

Marvel drifters had a LARGE weekend of drifting, with a group of the team going down on friday night to eastern creek for a skidpan night and david and myself going up to stadium drift round 1 at tamworth. 

It was a huge weekend, with lots of help from our friends / family, so a big thank you goes out to them because without them it would've been almost impossible to pull off. another big thanks to raceline events for putting on a great competition! 

anyway, pics, videos and a proper write up of the event will follow in the next few days.

Eastern Creek drift day on the 19th...

Another drift practice day is coming up this Friday, just before wes and dave head off to Tamworth for Stadium Drift. Jas and Jimmy will be reppin marvel at the skidpan as well as 5 other guys from Newcastle (soft i know, but tandems should be tight as you know what...). Its going to be a great day with pros drifting on the EC circuit, and other crazy crap going on.
Videos and pics will be up later next week hopefully...

Stadium drift pro tour - round 1 - Tamworth

for 2010, we've got 2 cars entered in the stadium drift L2 series. daves 180sx, and my cefiro.

the first round of the pro tour starts this coming weekend, 20th / 21st of march at oakburn park raceway in tamworth. if your in the area, or feel like joining us on a road trip come up and have a looksee. gates open at 9am


this will be the first of many road trips for 2010. after tamworth we have another 4 rounds of comps, with potentially a friday night at super GP in october if we make top 8 overall in the series.

02-01-10 Initial Drift Australia

The day had a million different track conditions, it hot and humid to start with, lots of cars were suffereing from the heat. I went through one set of rears, then the rain started.

This was the first time I have ever drifted in the rain, it was much different to what I expected, the initiation seemed to have bucket loads of grib, the when you throw it back and on the hand brake to the first corner, all traction was lost...

It was a good day, with a few pics with Mike from Ricochet :)

The dreaded Silvia....

Once again the Silvia is getting a new engine, since I have bought this car 6 months agom this will be the third engine..

I bought the car with a spun big end bearing, replaced it with a DE+T, turns out the car needed a really good tune, in the mean time I picked up a fully forged SR20DET to pop in.

I finally got all the ancilleries changed over and got the car running only to have it drop a rocker arm, did not brake anything, just fell off... Weird.

Getting Ready for Power Cruise Sydney 2010

Time and time again my turbo keeps falling off the manifold, last time this happen at Raleigh Raceway the leaking exhaust melted my ignitor, and a heap of wiring.

I have done nearly everything to try and hold this turbo on, I have to come up with something that will hold up to four days of track abuse.

I am welding it to the manifold some how...
